According to Section 4 of House Bill NO. 4244, though abortion is
illegal and considered as crime as based from the Revised Penal Code,
the government will still prioritize the health of women needing
assistance for post-abortion complication by requiring hospitals to
attend to their needs. In an article,

Noynoy Aquino Slams Philippine Media
President Benigno Aquino III criticized the Philippine media on the 25th
anniversary of TV Patrol and the 25th
anniversary of BusinessWorld July 27, 2012.
While the two events took place in different hotels,
PNoy's speech had the same cry for negativism of most local media
in their coverage.
His speech during the celebration of TV Patrol included a
call for reportage on good news rather than excessive bad news.
